Post holiday beauty haul

Okay, so the holiday blues have officially set in. This time two weeks ago I was enjoying a cocktail on a sun lounger overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. Humph! So in order to cheer myself up, I took a trip to Boots to buy some much needed items.

Now while I was in Thailand, I had the opportunity to try some authentic coconut oil. Although a little smelly and by this I mean not at all like coconut, I decided that I had to buy some once I was home, which is why I picked up Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Perfector Oil. I’ve really been into the whole the Argan Oil thing and I’ve heard positive things about coconut oil, so I thought it was best to jump on the bandwagon before it left without me.

Now that we’re well into July and I figured what a perfect opportunity to ditch the blusher and replace with a gorgeous glowing bronzer. Problem being my dog ate my bare Minerals brush so I was after a quick replacement. After toying between Real Techniques and Eco Tools, I finally opted for the Eco Tools Domed Bronzer brush. My reason? Because it was bigger – it was that simple.

Now this is where I get to the essentials. Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes, a really boring product that I re-purchase at least twice a month. Writing that has reminded me that I must find a more eco (and purse) friendly make up remover. Secondly, a new mascara. In my quest to find the perfect mascara (you can follow the Mascara Monologues here) I obviously opted for something new - Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara. More about this in the next instalment of the Mascara Monologues soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Despite not purchasing much, I came away feeling a little better that I wasn’t sat in 35 degree heat and sipping on a mango daiquiri. I guess the sunny British weather will keep me distracted for some time.

Please leave links below for your latest hauls. Or if you have any recommended products, I’d love to hear those too.

Good to be back...

So as you're probably well aware, I moved recently to a lovely little house with my Mr. I won't bore you with any details other than it's absolutely beautiful and we can't wait to make it our own.

I haven't blogged for a while, so as you can imagine I have LOTS to tell you and firstly I'm going to start with the wonderful Superdrug beautycard launch I attended on Tuesday. Stupidly I forgot my camera on the day, but it was set by the pool of the Haymarket Hotel, which was beautiful.

The Superdrug beautycard is available now and until beginning of June you can earn 50 points for every £5 you spend on Superdrug branded products. Standard points work that for every £1 you spend you will receive one point, with 100 points translating to a £1. Also the card comes with a mirror on one side, handy for keeping in your purse.

Secondly, with festival season on the horizon, I want to tell you about these handy mini travel sized facial wipes from Nivea. They're the perfect handbag size and contain 7 wipes - perfect for cleansing your face when it's a bit grubby. Also they're only £1.01!

I have plenty more to blog about, but I think they're worth a seperate post...

March favourites...

Courtesy of weheartit

This month has been rather hard to find my favourites as I haven't really tried anything new, but here you are...
Aussie Aussome Volume Shampoo and Conditioner
This month I had my long hair chopped off. I needed a shampoo and conditioner that would give it a bit of volume, because mine can look a little limp sometimes, so I thought I'd give these two a go. When I had longer hair, Aussie shampoos and conditioners never seemed to agree with it and I'd spend hours de-tangling knots. But with shorter hair, I think its great, plus it smells amazing too.

Nivea Soft
When I got sent the sample of the limited edition pot I was just going to store it away in our beauty cupboard because I didn't think I'd use it. But in fact, it hasn't left my desk! I started using it as a hand cream and its perfect! It sinks in quickly and doesn't leave that greasy residue that most hand creams do and it doesn't turn watery if you wash your hands afterwards. This product soon made it onto my must-have list and I want to thank Nivea for introducing me to it!

Nivea Soft Limited Edition

Nivea Soft is an essential cream for anyone who might suffer with dry, irritable skin. It's deeply nourishing and smells exactly like a moisturiser should - fresh and slightly old-fashioned, the type of creams your mother used when you was a child.

Now Nivea Soft have collaborated with the Spanish fashion designer Josep Font and introduced three different designs, following three very different trends - Estella, Sea and Dreams - all of which, look exceptionally beautiful. Although the outer packaging is different, the formulations inside are exactly the same, deeply nourishing, even on the driest of skin.

The Nivea Soft Limited Edition is priced at £6.59 and available from April to July only.
